In 1922, in downtown New York City, Luigi D’Andrea created the world’s first ever guitar flat picks from sheets of cellulose nitrate, by hand, using heart shaped mallet dies originally used for make the little heart shaped decorations for the tops of powder puff boxes.

By 1928, Luigi had become the veritable “Henry Ford” of the guitar picks and accessory world, with a revolutionary automated production line producing flat, thumb and finger picks, setting the standards for every pick ever produced since.

Today, in addition to the D’andrea pick line, the company offers a huge range of guitar accessories, pickguards, backplates, bottlenecks, bridge pins, capos, cleaning & maintenance gear, string winders, pick holders pickup surrounds, strap locks and buttons.
